Due to the inequality between the sexes, the birth of a daughter is considered a burden by many families in India. The female fetus is destroyed in the uterus most of the time, the initiative being taken by the mother due to family pressure.
A woman who gives birth to a daughter is looked down by her in-laws. What determines the sex of a child?
The x or y chromosome from the husband’s gene which fuses with the x chromosome from the wife’s genes what determines the sex of a child. So the husband is entirely responsible for the birth of a son or daughter.
In this 21st century where brain is preferred over brawn, the females are marching way ahead of the males. 15 – 25 years from now females will evolve as the superior sex, so mothers should be proud of having daughters now.
