It is a common complaint that files don’t move very fast in government offices unless some bribe is paid. What is the origin of such a practice? Some people had the money, they were not disciplined enough to stand in the queue. They lured the government employees with money to get their work completed before the work of the people who were in front of the queue. Thus the practice of paying bribes came into scene. Stern steps should be taken by the government. Both the bribe payers and the bribe takers should be severely punished. The common man should not pay a penny extra than the amount required.
