Pursue happiness vs Create happiness

"Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" is one of the most famous phrases in the United States Declaration of Independence.

Should we pursue happiness or create happiness? When we closely examine is there a difference between the two?

I read somewhere:
Happiness is Created Through Self Awareness
Self Awareness is the Path to Self Mastery
Self Mastery leads to the personal power to choose Happiness

Wealth, fame, power etc cannot keep us happy. We should know what we really want from life and what to give back to life.

Your destiny is in your hands

"Watch your thoughts, for they become words.

Watch your words, for they become actions.

Watch your actions, for they become habits.

Watch your habits, for they become character

Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny."

Begging is Illegal

Beggars at traffic signals, beggars at religious places, beggars on the street, beggars who come to your house, beggars on trains, beggars near restaurants all of them pull at your heart strings, make you feel guilty of being better off than them, make you give some money to them so that you can overcome the guilt.

What we have to keep in mind the next time we reach our wallet to give money to the beggars is that begging is illegal. There are a lot of criminals using begging as an easy way to make money. In fact begging is a big business. There are kids who are forced into begging, there are people who are mutilated so that they can beg. There are drugs bought from the money received from begging.

If you want to give something to somebody who begs, let it be not money but something in kind like food or clothes. Food is the safest option.

What's in a name?

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose
by any other name would smell as sweet."

From William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet"

Whose fault is it?

Our life did not turn out how we wanted it to be. Whose fault is it? Is the reason our upbringing or our childhood trauma or our fate or XYZ person or the country we live in?

The sole reason for how our life turns out is because of the choices we make in life, the decisions we make in life. Nobody is responsible for our present success or failure than we ourselves. Unless we take responsibility for the outcome of our life we cannot be successful.

All You Need Is.....

All You Need Is .....

If you were to choose one of the following options, what would it be?

Love, Wealth, Peace of Mind, Fame, Success, Friendship, Education, Knowledge, Immortality, Beauty, Health, Sex

Is not having one of these options the reason behind us not getting what we actually want from life?
